Filling Pieces x Daniel Arsham

In the heart of Amsterdam's Spuistraat, a significant cultural intersection took place. Creative One Studio had the privilege of documenting the exclusive book signing of Daniel Arsham, one of the most influential contemporary artists of our era. Hosted at the Filling Pieces flagship store in collaboration with Galerie Ron Mandos, the event celebrated the release of Arsham's latest publication, Moonraker: Time Dilation.
THE BRIEF.
Filling Pieces wanted to document the cultural weight of hosting Daniel Arsham at their Amsterdam flagship. Not just a recap of the event, but something that captured the significance of two worlds, streetwear and contemporary art, meeting in one space. The film needed to feel as considered as the brands involved.
We approached this as observers, not directors. A fly-on-the-wall style to capture authentic interactions between Daniel Arsham and his admirers without disrupting the flow of the event. We took cues from Arsham's own fascination with structure, using the clean minimalist interior of the Filling Pieces store to frame our shots. The footage needed to feel as high-end as the brands involved. By blending slow-motion detail shots of the book's intricate textures with fast-paced sequences of the crowd, we created a rhythm that mirrors the excitement of a high-profile Amsterdam gallery opening.
